WebSphere MQ 6

Highlights:

Eclipse based configuration tool on Windows and Linux x86.

Message server client for C/C++.

On distributed platforms, SMF style statistics are written to event queues.

JMS 1.1 support is integrated into WebSphere MQ, including publishing and subscribing messaging.

Integrated support for Web Services data.

64 bit support on the main Unix platforms (AIX, HP-UX and Solaris).

Supported on Linux for iSeries and Linux for pSeries POWER platforms.

New File Transfer application.

For consistency, GSKit is now used on Windows for SSL.

Support for Internet Protocol version 6.

 

 

 

WebSphere Message Broker 6.1

IBM continues to position WMB for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and as an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) with the following new features announced with WMB 6.1:

Greater SOA functionality, with support for Web Services Security and Web Services Addressing plus WebSphere Service Registry and Registration (WSRR) support.

New Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) nodes (e.g. PeopleSoft, SAP and Siebel).

New email output node.

Enterprise-wide identity, authorisation and authentication with LDAP servers.
